And That Is Me

| I am thirteen. I hang out with people that are 13-19, and I love every one of them. Having friends of such a wide range of ages is totally fun because I am really mature and can relate to everyone, but almost all of them do drugs. A year ago my best friend died from doing meth, and since then I have vowed never to try these things and all of my friends respect me for it. I do not do drugs and I do not drink and that is me. |

| I'm a 14 year old who recently moved to a diffrent city. Ever since i moved i have tried to fit in, but not in the best way! I've gotten high at least 2 times, overdossed on cold pills(Coricide)twice, gotten really drunk once and inhaled air freshner twice!(yeah great way 2 fit in)Well to tell u the truth this happened not to long ago. Ever since my last mistake i made a promise to the ppl i care about that i wouldn't do that stuff anymore.I think that in order to actually stop from doing stupid s*** u need 2 do it 4 somebody you care about and then later on u will realize u were doing it 4 your-self too. Oh yea take it from me, don't let peer pressure get to you! |

| Somebody on this site said that "drugs ruin everything." That's a somewhat narrow view to take. Some drugs, such as mushrooms for example can be extremely beneficial and not harmful or addictive. I admit certain drugs can cause a world of harm and I have experienced this in the form of a family member who was on heroin. However, I feel that not all drugs can be held in the same light. | i am 13 and one year i got to go to ozzfest with a bunch of friends and we bought some drugs and drinks from some ppl in the parking lot. we bought ecstacy pot and coke and my best friend bought meth so we got all f***** up. i went to the mosh pit and got hit in the head passed out and got trampled i broke my arm ankle wrist had a cocussion and internal bleeding but jade, my best friend who bought meth is still dead. |

| To tell you the truth, I'm 14 years old, i've gotten drunk once, smoked pot 2 times, and smoked about 3-4 cigarettes in my life. When i got drunk i was with my friends at a park, and i was with a dude that was about 2 years older than me and more experienced. I felt really stupid when i got home becuz i made a complete full out of myself. When i smoked pot the first time was nothing but the second time i got sick and hurt my throat. And smoking cigarettes sucks.. it just makes your throat hurt. Well mine at least. i doubt that i'll do drugs or anything for a while. And kids out there who want to do drugs to have fun.. just know that there are other ways to have fun besides doing drugs.. believe me. |

| I'm 16 years old and I never took drugs nor drank alcohol. And what can I say: I'm happy without all these silly things. Sure, sometimes there are some bad days, but you can survive them without drugs. At first, they are some kind of amazing, but the next day, you feel worse than the day before.
So don't let the others tell you anything stupid. Stay Clean! |

| One time I was outside of Port Discovery (it's like Chuck E. Cheese to the 10 power) and I was around back at like 12 am so it was closed. Me and my cousin were smoking our own blunts and we were really high, then out of nowhere, security came up. I was shook. It was two of them. They started talking to us and we said "You look like the police to me!" then one guy said "Naw, I'm just security." Then he actually asked for my cousin's blunt! He started doming the s*** out of it! When it was about an inch long, he asked my cousin "You rolled the rest of this for me, right?" then walked off. I shared the rest of my blunt with my cousin and then we left. It was so crazy because I was high as a kite and I was scared too, but it was cool because he didn't hit my blunt! |

| ya it happened to me. the drug scene. whats new? what is new is that my friend since fifth grade hasnt been the drug scene. i am terrified for her. she hasnt sipped alcohol , puffed a cig, and only once saw a glimpse of weed. its sad i know since we are guna be sophmores but hey i am proud of her virginess lol. but really it takes some self control i didnt have and strict but cool parents that i dont have. she makes me want to be a better person. but then i am scared when she tries it. cuz she has to. i hope she wont have the experiences i have had. |

| This site is very biased, if I do say so myself. All of these "moments of truth" if they are true, it's very sad. But there is another side to the story. *gasp!*. I'm 16 years old and I've been smoking for 4 years and 2 months, nothing but Marijuana. No alchi, not tobacco, nothing else. I've been to all these sites like this that tell you that you're going to eventually get tired of weed and you'll go on to crack and all those other drugs. Marijuana is a gateway drug. Oooh! This is from my experience; a hubmle 16 year old in the 10th grade, has never failed, has a GPA of 3.4 (that's not tooo bad), and has a job. I'd say I'm not doing to bad for myself. I've smoked at least a blunt (even if a small one) for the past year and a half and I've never once got the urge to snort something or pop something. The shear though of a cigarette disgusts me. Marijuana is a gateway drug only if you let it be. If you don't want to do crack, don't do it! If you don't want to take E, don't do it! There isn't enough weed in the world to get me high enough to want to try something else, unless it's a different kind of weed. If you tell yourself that weed is the only thing you'll smoke and you turn around and smoke some crack, that's a problem with YOUR will power, I'm sorry. The bottom line: Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug and if you know what you're doing in terms of taking care of yourself when you smoke, it's no more dangerous than a cigarette.
